Intermediate chess: Learning to be a better player

Starting from the basic chess tactics, the tutor will guide beginner learners in designing micro-strategies.
The basic structure of the programme is: openings, middle game, end game.
The basic ideas are assessing the position with regard to: time, force and space.

Session 1 (October 12) Openings: Example 1: The Scotch Gambit
Using a game of Paul Morphy, Tutor Fred took the learners through the chess tactic of gambit.

Session 2: (November 09) Openings: Examples from Fred's own games, illustrating the "Greek gift".

Session 3: (December 14)
